Prayers by Rev. Daniel W. Blair

Good morning Heavenly Father. As we enter our prayer closet today, we can’t stop thinking about others who are being pulled to the left. It’s as if they have blinders on and cannot see where they will eventually end up if they continue on their present course. They have forsaken their early heritage and ignored the teachings of their elders that showed them the true path to righteousness.

We pray, Oh Lord that you would open the ears of our children, our grandchildren and yes, even the ears of our great grandchildren to hear the truth of the Gospel that was handed down to us as children.

Awaken all of your elder children to reach out today and every day with the beautiful teachings from your Holy Word and from their own experiences of how you have grown us and kept us from falling through faith in Jesus Christ our Lord.

It won’t be long now, and the older generation will have passed on to glory and WHAT WILL BE LEFT? Let us all look beyond the ballot box to our responsibility to the younger generation.

We pray this in the glorious Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“Do It For the Little Ones”

We’ve given up so many rights
    Our values our beliefs
So many times without a fight
    We’ve given into thieves
Their plunder it has changed our lives
    And taken all our liberties
Why did we never act before
    To stop their piracy

We hoped that they would go away
Their cause was not so frail
They made a pact and swore to stay
    Until they would prevail
And as they marched to victory
    Their purpose never missed
    Our freedoms slowly disappeared
    Our warnings all dismissed

Do it for the little ones
It’s time to take a stand
Do it for the little ones
    It’s time to take command
For if we turn our heads and sigh
We might as well just say good bye
For all the freedoms we enjoy
It’s time to save this land

So pause a bit and think awhile
How will we stand our ground
Will we just turn and walk away
    Give up without a sound
If we won’t fight for what is right
They’ll drive us to our knees
Our future then will be no more
    To worship as we please

For their way is to take our hope
    And turn it to despair
Enslave us with all they demand
And leave us with no prayer
In your heart I’m sure you know
Our freedom is the first to go
Now’s the time to put an end
Let’s do it for the children

Do it for the little ones
It’s time to take a stand
Do it for the little ones
    It’s time to take command
For if we turn our heads and sigh
We might as well just say good bye
For all the freedoms we enjoy
It’s time to save this land

    What’ll we tell the children
    How we lost everything
    Fallen from our glory days
    The awful price indifference pays
    We’ve paid

So we must do it for the little ones
It’s time to take a stand
Do it for the little ones
    It’s time to take command
For if we turn our heads and sigh
We might as well just say good bye
For all the freedoms we enjoy
It’s time to save this land

For if we turn our heads and sigh
We might as well just kiss good bye
    All the freedoms we enjoy
It’s time to save this land
It’s time to save this land
It’s time to save this land
